Portfolio - Graphic Design- Inspire Rotherham
Brief
We were commissioned by “Inspire Rotherham” to produce a recipe book and DVD of classic school meal favourites to enhance an adult literacy programme and act as a resource for delivery staff.
Approach
Fundamental to the success of this assignment was the creation of a clear, language level appropriate and well laid out recipe booklet. We did this by breaking each recipe down into small clear step by step instructions in both visual and written form backed up by the video as reinforcement.
Solution
We created a family friendly A5 recipe booklet that made strong use of colour coding, clear text formatting and layout and custom illustrative photography to aid the learning process.
Results
The Booklet and DVD have been successfully rolled out across all adult literacy units in Rotherham with a clear impact positive impact on improved literacy levels with healthy eating also receiving a further boost.
